Small but mighty
True to its name, the Axion Compact series features three of Pulsar’s smallest thermal imaging monoculars, but their size is by no means an indication of their performance. Each device in the series will offer an incredibly powerful thermal performance.
The compact footprint of each device allows for easy stowage in a pocket or binocular harness when not in use, making the Axion Compact series the ideal choice for keen nature observers looking for a device to complement their day binoculars.
Small but mighty, each monocular in series uses a robust magnesium alloy construction, enduring harsh weather conditions, extreme temperatures, and heavy use, all without impeding its performance.
Which Model Should You Choose?
- The Axion XQ30 Pro features the highest level of thermal sensitivity thanks to its <20 mK sNETD rating, making it perfect for use in any weather conditions.
- The Axion Compact XQ19 is the most accessible device in the series, boasting the largest field of view at 19.5° with the smallest price tag — the perfect introduction to thermal imaging.
- The Axion Compact XG30 offers a wide 14.6° field of view and a larger digital magnification range, making it ideal for detection without excessive searching and scanning, as well as close-up observation.
- With a powerful f1.0 objective lens, the Axion Compact XG35 offers the longest detection range of the series with a thermal sensitivity rating that matches that of the Axion XQ30 Pro.

European-made
thermal sensors
Ideal for searching and scanning, each entry in the Axion Compact series features a European-made thermal sensor to achieve exceptional image clarity and a powerful performance that belies their compact footprint.
- The 640×480, 12µm thermal sensor option will provide impressive levels of image detail, making it perfect for identification.
- The 384×288, 17µm sensor achieves excellent thermal sensitivity, making it ideal for use in all weather conditions.

Sensitivity amplification levels and advanced image processing algorithms
The Axion Compact series offers 3 sensitivity amplification levels, which, in conjunction with Pulsar’s advanced filtration algorithms and fine brightness and contrast adjustments, allow for optimised rendering of an observed object and the background behind them. These sensitivity settings and image processing algorithms will allow for quick adjustment to varying weather conditions, increasing the likelihood of early detection in ever-changing scenarios.
Fits perfectly in any
pocket or pack
Compact by name, compact by nature — each device has been designed to remain comfortable in the hand over long periods of observation, whilst being small enough to fit easily into a pocket or pack when not in use.
Their ergonomically designed bodyshells feature a convenient four button arrangement across the top of the device, where the fingers would naturally rest, making it perfect for use by both left- and right-handed users. These buttons control the most commonly used digital functions, enabling easy operation — even in darkness.Â
Simplified searching and
scanning with
wide FOVs
Each model in the Axion Compact series offers a wide field of view, making them perfect for object detection without the need for excessive searching and scanning. These wide FOVs open up the observation area, achieving better situational awareness and allowing for inspection of objects whilst keeping the full scene in view.
